1. What is unique about Unicla compressors?
A unique internal design comprising a 10 cylinder swashplate operation. This produces a quiet, smooth and very efficient operation far superior to many other compressors.
2. Do Unicla compressors operate in both directions?
Yes, all can be operated in a clockwise and counter-clockwise direction.
3. What mounting configurations are available in the Unicla range?
In both `lug' (UP series) and `direct `(UX series).
4. What capacities are available in the Unicla range?
Unicla compressors are divided into two main groups- `A group' for the smaller capacity models from 90cc to 170cc and `B group ` for the larger capacity models from 200cc to 310cc.
5. Is there a good range of clutches available for Unicla compressors?
Yes, the range is very diverse with over 160 different clutch models available in both 12 and 24 volt .
6. Can clutches be changed between compressors?
Yes, all clutches are interchangeable within the `A group ` range and within the `B group', clutches are interchangeable between the UX260 and UX310 compressors.
7. What tools are required to change clutches?
Normal workshop tools. If required dedicated Unicla tools are available but are not necessary.
8. What spare parts are available for Unicla compressors?
Seal kits, o-rings and valve plates. These items can be replaced by using normal workshop tools and the Unicla seal kit tool.
9. What oil is used in Unicla compressors?
Their own branded Pag oil - `Unidap 7'. However in some B group models and for special orders, Ester oil can be specified. All compressors are supplied with a full oil charge. However, for heavy duty applications and larger systems, extra oil is required. (See Q 67)
